- 1 1/2 c. margarine (3 sticks)
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. lemon extract
- 3/4 c. 7-Up
Directions

1Cream sugar and shortening together and beat until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs, one at a time and beat well.

3Add flour alternately with lemon extract and 7-Up.

4Pour batter into well-greased and floured tube or Bundt pan.

5Bake at 325° for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.

6When thoroughly cool, sift powdered sugar over cake. This cake freezes well and stays moist.
