Ingredients

  • 8 tsp. diet margarine
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 to 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • pinch of oregano
  • garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar (may be omitted)
  • 1 (16 oz.) can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 can mushrooms (small)
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 8 oz. uncooked egg noodles

Directions

    Saute onion, pepper and celery in margarine (or Pam) in a pan. Add ground turkey, seasoned salt, oregano, garlic, sugar, tomato sauce, chopped tomatoes, mushrooms and water.

    Simmer for 15 minutes.

    Using a 9 x 13-inch pan sprayed with Pam, add 8 ounces uncooked egg noodles.

    Cover with all sauce mixture and top with 8 ounces shredded Mozzarella cheese (low skim).

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

    Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
