- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2-1/2 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1-1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375F.

2In a large bowl, beat together butter, brown sugar, 3/4 cup chopped pecans and vanilla on medium speeduntil well blended.

3Add flour and baking powder and mix well, using low speed.

4Shape dough into 1-inch balls.

5Slightly flatten by pressing balls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

6Pinch tops to point to resemble acorns.

7Bake for 10-12 minutes at 375F.

8Remove from oven and cool on wire racks.

9In top of a double boiler over simmering water, melt chocolate chips, stirring until smooth.

10Remove from heat.

11Keep double boiler over water.

12Dip large ends of cooled cookies into melted chocolate, then roll in chopped pecans.

13Cool to set chocolate.
