- 3 lbs. ground beef
- 2 lbs. kidney beans
- 2 cans tomato soup
- 2 cans water
- 2 cups celery, diced
- 1 lg. green pepper, diced
- 1 cup onions, diced
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 2 cups potatoes, diced
- chili powder (optional)
Directions

1In a 5 qt. pot combine celery, carrots, beans and soup.

2Fill soup cans with water and add to pot.

3Cook over low heat.

4In a large skillet, brown beef, stirring frequently to keep in small pieces.

5Add salt and pepper to taste.

6Empty skillet into pot. In same skillet, brown peppers and onions. Add to pot.

7Simmer pot over low heat, stirring occasionally at least 4 hrs.

8The longer the better. 1 hr. before serving, add diced potatoes and cook until tender.
