Ingredients

  • 1. Gram dhal - 1 cup
  • 2. Toor dhal - 1/2 cup
  • 3. Urad dhal - 1/4 cup
  • 4. Raw rice - 1/2 cup
  • 5. Boiled rice - 1/2 cup
  • 6. Red chilly - 7no
  • 7. Saunf - 2 tsp
  • 8. Asafoedita - 1/2 tsp
  • 9. Chopped Onion - 2 no
  • 10. Chopped Green chilly - 4no
  • 11. Chopped ginger - 1 piece
  • 12. Chopped curry leaves and coriander leaves Each - 2 sprig
  • 13. Chopped coconut pieces - 3tbsp
  • 14. Salt - To taste
  • 15. Coconut Oil - For Dosa

Directions

    Wash and soak the dhal, rice and red chili together at least 2 to 3 hours before grinding.

    Grained coarsely without adding more water along with Saunf.

    Add onion, green chili, ginger, chopped coriander and curry leaves along with salt and chopped coconut pieces into the batter then mix well and leave for 20 minutes.

    Heat in a Tawa and add batter spread it on round shape and make 4 holes into the Adai and pour 1tsp of oil in each whole cook well on slow flame to both sides.

    Then serve hot with Avial or Jaggery.
