  • 1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter or margarine
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 10 oz. coconut flakes, raisins or dried cherries
  • 2 oz. rum or rum flavoring
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp. nutmeg
  • 3 oz. milk
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Mix butter, flour and all dry ingredients.

    Add eggs, rum and vanilla extract.

    Mix and add milk.

    Drop 1 tablespoon batter onto 2 greased cookie sheets.

    Bake at 400° for about 20 to 25 minutes.
