- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. fresh mushrooms
- 1 c. Ala (uncooked)
- 1/4 tsp. dill weed
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. beef or chicken bouillon
- 1 Tbsp. parsley
Directions

1Melt margarine; add Ala and vegetables.

2Stir until tender and Ala is browned.

3Add seasonings and bouillon.

4Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.

5Can add grated carrots, chopped peanuts, raisins or green pepper and olives.

6Ala is cracked wheat.
