  • 12 cup chopped onion
  • 12 cup chopped mushroom
  • 6 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 14 teaspoon dried thyme
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Saute onions and mushrooms in 1 T. butter.

    When onion is soft, add remaining butter and melt on medium heat.

    Then add 3/4 of container of heavy cream, thyme and salt and pepper.

    Incorporate butter and cream with whisk.

    Let sauce boil until it thickens, about 10 minutes.

    Keep on medium high heat, stirring frequently.

    If sauce gets too thick add cream.

    If it's too thin, add some parmesan cheese.
  9. 9
    Serve over fettuccine noodles.
