- 12 cup chopped onion
- 12 cup chopped mushroom
- 6 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 14 teaspoon dried thyme
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Saute onions and mushrooms in 1 T. butter.

2When onion is soft, add remaining butter and melt on medium heat.

3Then add 3/4 of container of heavy cream, thyme and salt and pepper.

4Incorporate butter and cream with whisk.

5Let sauce boil until it thickens, about 10 minutes.

6Keep on medium high heat, stirring frequently.

7If sauce gets too thick add cream.

8If it's too thin, add some parmesan cheese.

9Serve over fettuccine noodles.
