Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 lb. boneless meat
  • 3 c. water, divided
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 large carrots, thinly sliced
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 (8 oz.) can green peas, drained
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 c. catsup

Directions

    Brown meat in frying pan with onion until tender.

    Take 2 cups of water and add carrots, potatoes, peas, green pepper and bay leaf.

    Let simmer until vegetables start to get done.

    Then add garlic, pepper, catsup and meat.

    Let simmer, then mix 1 cup of water with a 1/2 cup of flour.

    Add to stew and let cook until thickened.
