- 1 tomato
- 1 piece onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 piece bread
- 1 pinch ground clove
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/8 cup almonds
- 1 boneless skinless chicken breast
- 1/4 cup tomato puree
- 1/2 jalapeno
- salt and ground black pepper
Directions

1Grill the tomato and blend it together with the onion and garlic. Set aside in the blender.

2Add the clove, cinnamon, bread, and almonds to a skillet with the olive oil. When slightly browned, remove the mixture and blend it together with the tomato, adding the jalapeno if desired. Set aside.

3Remove any excess oil from the skillet and brown the chicken until cooked thoroughly. Add salt and pepper to taste.

4Add the puree to the chicken and lower the heat. Add water if the mixture seems very thick. Cook for 5 minutes, covered.

5Serve along with tortillas or white rice.
