  • 1 tomato
  • 1 piece onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 piece bread
  • 1 pinch ground clove
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/8 cup almonds
  • 1 boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 1/4 cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 jalapeno
  • salt and ground black pepper

Directions

    Grill the tomato and blend it together with the onion and garlic. Set aside in the blender.

    Add the clove, cinnamon, bread, and almonds to a skillet with the olive oil. When slightly browned, remove the mixture and blend it together with the tomato, adding the jalapeno if desired. Set aside.

    Remove any excess oil from the skillet and brown the chicken until cooked thoroughly. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    Add the puree to the chicken and lower the heat. Add water if the mixture seems very thick. Cook for 5 minutes, covered.
