- 2 1/16 cups wheat flour
- 9/16 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 5/8 cups ground almonds
- 1 1/16 cups sliced almonds
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 lemon juice and zest
Directions

1Knead flour and butter until soft dough forms.

2Add remaining ingredients.

3Knead well.

4Dust with flour so that dough doesn't stick to hands.

5Line removable bottom plate of a springform pan with dough.

6Preheat oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

7Refrigerate for about 10 minutes.

8Melt butter and mix with sugar, eggs, ground almonds, lemon zest and juice.

9Pour mixture into pan. Bake in preheated oven for about 10 minutes.

10Remove and sprinkle with slivered almonds.

11Return to oven and bake until golden for about 10 additional minutes.

12Let cool in pie dish.

13Carefully remove from pan.
