- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 c. uncooked regular rice
- salt to taste
- 1/2 c. slivered, blanched almonds
- 4 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Heat butter in saucepan; add almonds and saute a few minutes just until golden.

2Add rice and stir until it is thoroughly coated.

3Add water and salt.

4Bring to lively boil.

5Stir briefly. Boil until water barely disappears from surface.

6Lower heat immediately.

7Cover tightly and cook until rice is done and fluffy, about 20 to 30 minutes.
