- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 whole cloves
- 1/2 cup finely chopped white onions
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 cups water
- 1-1/2 cups basmati rice, uncooked, rinsed and drained
- 3/4 cup frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, corn, green beans, peas)
- 1/3 cup PLANTERS Slivered Almonds, toasted
Directions

1Cook and stir oil, cinnamon stick and cloves in medium saucepan on medium heat 1 min.

2Add onions and salt; cook 5 min.

3or until onions are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.

4Stir in water, rice and vegetables.

5Bring to boil; cover.

6Simmer on low heat 12 min.

7or until most the water is absorbed.

8Remove from heat; let stand 5 min.

9Discard cloves and cinnamon stick.

10Add nuts to rice mixture; mix lightly.
