- 3/4 lb. butter
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 c. split almonds (unblanched)
- 1 c. walnuts
- 2 (6 or 7 oz.) milk chocolate bars or 2 pkg. chocolate chips
Directions

1Use wooden spoon for stirring and cooking in heavy iron or aluminum skillet.

2Cut butter in small pieces and melt in skillet. Add sugar; when well blended and bubbly, add almonds.

3Stir constantly and cook until mixture forms very hard crack in water (almonds will be golden brown and mixture will darken considerably).

4Pour quickly and spread evenly on cookie sheet. (Slides all around - I use my broiler pan.)

5Cool slightly and loosen sheet of candy with spatula, then flip candy over.

6When partially cooled, spread chocolate over top.

7Sprinkle with nuts; flip over and repeat.
