Alpine Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 to 8 chicken breasts
  • sliced Swiss cheese
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 can vermouth, wine or sherry (1/2 soup can)
  • 1 stick butter
  • Pepperidge Farm herbal stuffing

Directions

    Arrange chicken breasts in a greased dish or pan.

    Place a slice of cheese on each breast.
  3. 3
    Mix soup with 1/2 can of liquor and pour over chicken.

    Melt stick of butter and toss in 1/2 bag of stuffing.

    Sprinkle over top.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour, covered with foil, then another 1/2 hour without foil.

    If more liquid is needed, add milk or liquor.
