- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 14 cup butter
- 12 cup sugar
- 4 cups French bread, cut into bite-sized chunks
- 34 cup raisins
- pecans (optional)
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 12 teaspoon nutmeg
- 14 teaspoon cinnamon
- 12 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 5 ounces evaporated milk
- 1 egg yolk
- 34 cup whiskey
Directions

1Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.

2Scald the milk and the half and half.

3Add the 1/2 stick butter and the 1/2 cup sugar.

4Pour over the four cups of French bread, raisins and pecans.

5Let sit for 15 minutes.

6Whisk together eggs, vanilla nutmeg and cinnamon.

7Pour over bread mixture.

8Bake for 350 degree for 45 minutes.

9To make the whiskey sauce over medium heat the 1 stick of butter, 1 cup sugar, evaporated milk and egg yolk.

10Remove from heat and then stir in 3/4 cup of whiskey.
