- 2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 c. warm ???
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 6 to 8 c. flour
Directions

1Combine water, salt, cornmeal and shortening.

2Cook until thick; cool.

3Combine and blend well the rest of the ingredients. Knead and let rise.

4Punch down and form into 2 loaves.

5Put in bread pans.

6Let rise until double.

7Bake at 375°

8for 40 to 50 minutes.
