- 1/2 c. corn meal
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. boiling water
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 2 1/2 tsp. dry yeast
- 6 c. flour
Directions

1Add boiling water to first four ingredients.

2Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast which has been dissolved in 1/2 cup water.

3Add flour to make a soft dough.

4Cover and let rise until little more than double in size.

5Form into 2 loaves; let rise again.

6Bake in a 375° oven for 35 minutes.
