  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. shortening

    Mix yeast and water.

    Let set aside for 5 minutes.

    Combine dry ingredients and cut in shortening until it looks like peas.
