- 4 packs dry yeast
- 1 pt. lukewarm water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. nonfat dry milk
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
Directions

1Mix yeast, water and sugar.

2Let rest 10 minutes.

3Sift dry ingredients together.

4Cut shortening into flour mixture.

5Add just enough extra flour to roll out.

6Roll into 1/2-inch thickness.

7Cut into circles and place in greased 9 x 13-inch baking pans.

8Brush with melted butter and let rise for 30 minutes.

9Bake at 425° for 10 to 12 minutes or until done.

10Yields 2 dozen.
