- 5 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. Crisco
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift together dry ingredients.

2Cut in Crisco; add yeast mixture and buttermilk.

3Stir until mixture sticks together in one big ball.

4Turn out onto a floured cloth or board.

5Knead lightly. Roll out and cut as biscuits.

6Cook on greased sheet at 450° until brown.

7Mixture will keep in refrigerator as long as a week.
