Ingredients
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. shortening
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water and set aside for 5 minutes.

2Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and sugar.

3Cut in shortening.

4Stir in buttermilk and yeast mixture.

5Turn on lightly floured board and knead lightly a minute or two.

6Roll to 1/2-inch thick.

7Cut with round 2-inch cutter.

8Put in greased pan 1 inch apart.

9Cover and let rise 1 hour.

10Bake 400° for 10 minutes.
