- 5 c. self-rising flour
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. oil
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. hot water
- 2 Tbsp. yeast
Directions

1Pour yeast into hot water and set aside.

2In large bowl, mix flour, sugar, buttermilk, oil and yeast mixture.

3Mix well.

4Roll out on floured surface and cut into biscuits or flour top of dough and shape with large spoon.

5Place on lightly greased baking pan. Lightly oil or butter top.

6Bake at 450° until golden, about 12 to 15 minutes.

7Recipe can be cut into half for smaller yield.
