  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 5 Tbsp. water
  • 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in warm water
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 c. buttermilk

Directions

    Cut shortening into dry ingredients.

    Add milk and water with yeast; mix well.

    Dump on floured board; cut out.

    Bake on greased cookie sheet.

    Bake in hot oven.
