- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. soda
- 5 c. self-rising flour
Directions

1Mix all ingredients together.

2Store in covered bowl in the refrigerator.

3Will stay good for up to 2 weeks.

4When ready to use, roll out and cut with a biscuit cutter.

5Bake in a 425° oven for about 10 minutes or until done.

6Makes 20 to 24 biscuits. Really good!
