- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 5 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 5 Tbsp. lukewarm water
- 5 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Add dry yeast to water; mix with buttermilk.

2Sift dry ingredients together.

3Cut in shortening, then add the milk mixture.

4Knead slightly and roll out.

5Cut with biscuit cutter. Bake at 450°.

6Do not let stand to rise as other rolls.

7May be kept in refrigerator several days in covered container.

8Pinch off, cut and bake as needed.
