- 12 oz. chocolate chips
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 pt. whipping cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 large angel food cake
Directions

1Melt chocolate in double boiler; cool.

2Add egg yolks only. Beat egg whites until stiff and add to chocolate mixture.

3Add whipped cream, sugar, salt, nuts and vanilla.

4Tear or cut cake into small pieces.

5Line bottom of 9 x 13-inch dish with cake.

6Add a layer of chocolate, then cake, then chocolate, ending with chocolate.

7Refrigerate until very cold.

8If keeping overnight, cover with foil.

9May top with whipped cream, nuts and cherries, if desired.
