Stuffed Peppers

  • 6 or 7 average size peppers
  • 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 lb. chopped meat (lean)
  • 1/2 c. cooked rice
  • 2 strips bacon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion
  • 1 can tomato soup

Directions

    Mix together meat and rice; saute bacon and onion until brown. Add to meat mixture with egg.

    Scald peppers and reserve.

    Stuff peppers with meat mixture.

    Pour 1 can tomato soup with about 2 cans of water over the pepper in a large pot and cook slowly (cover slightly) for about 1 hour.
