  • 1 1/2 c. plain corn meal
  • 1 c. plain flour
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil

Directions

    Sift dry ingredients together.

    In bowl, put eggs, buttermilk and vegetable oil.

    Beat well.

    Add liquid mixture to meal mix. Stir until batter is smooth.

    Bake in preheated hot, well greased cornstick pans at 450°.
