- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 whole egg and 1 egg, separated
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/3 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

2Cream together butter and sugar.

3Add whole egg and egg yolk and beat until fluffy.

4Add dry ingredients and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla.

5Pour into greased 7 x 11-inch baking pan.

6Bake at 350° until done.
