Ingredients: 1 angel food cake, cut in 4 layers; 1 1/3 c. instant dry milk; 1 1/2 c. sugar; 2 tsp. instant coffee; 4 egg yolks; 3/4 c. butter; 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring; 1 tsp. vanilla; 1 1/2 c. walnuts; 1 c. water

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. instant coffee
4 egg yolks
3/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. walnuts
1 c. water

Directions

Combine dry milk, sugar and coffee; mix together. Beat egg yolks and add water; add to dry mixture. Add butter and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened; then cook 2 minutes longer. Add flavorings and beat until thick enough to spread. Spread filling over each layer. Sprinkle with nuts and stack.
