- 3 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- dash of salt
- 1 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tsp. anise extract
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.

2Cream butter. Add sugar gradually and blend well.

3Stir in unbeaten egg yolks and anise extract until batter is smooth.

4Add flour mixture.

5Nip off little pieces of dough and roll into balls size of a cherry. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.

6Bake at 425° for 7 to 8 minutes.

7Cool before removing from cookie sheet.
