- 2 c. light brown sugar
- 1 c. melted margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. walnuts
Directions

1Melt margarine in saucepan.

2Add sugar and stir.

3Break egg yolks and add vanilla.

4Mix well; set aside.

5Add dry ingredients to margarine mixture.

6Mix well.

7Will be thick.

8Add egg mixture. Beat all together.

9Pour mixture into a 9 x 9-inch cake pan that has been lined with plastic wrap.

10Spread and cover mix with wrap. Refrigerate until firm.

11Slice thin and bake on an ungreased cookie tin for 10 minutes.

12Remove immediately.

13Store in tight fitting topped cookie jar.
