Anniversary Punch

  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
  • 2 tsp. grated lemon rind
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 fifth sparkling Burgundy
  • 1 fifth champagne
  • 1 fifth Sauterne

Directions

    Combine strawberries, lemon rind and juice in saucepan. Simmer 10 minutes.

    Put through a food mill or sieve or liquefy in blender.

    Cool.

    Pour fruit mixture over large block of ice in punch bowl.

    Add sparkling Burgundy, champagne and Sauterne. Garnish with whole strawberries and lemon slices, if wished. Makes 35 punch cup servings and is guaranteed to put a little punch in your anniversary.
