  • 2 cups shredded Gruyere or Swiss cheese
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh sage
  • 1 package (17.3 ounces) frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto or deli ham

    In a small bowl, mix cheese and sage. Unfold puff pastry; cut each in half crosswise. Top each half with prosciutto and cheese mixture to within 1/2 inch of edges; roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side. Wrap tightly in waxed paper or plastic; refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight.

    Preheat oven to 400°. Unwrap and cut each roll crosswise into sixteen 1/2-inch slices. Place cut side down on greased

    Rolls can be made 2 days in advance. Wrap rolls in waxed paper and place in a container; close tightly and store in the refrigerator.

    Freeze wrapped rolls in a resealable freezer container. To use, unwrap frozen rolls and cut into slices. Bake as directed.
