Ingredients

  • 7 lb. apples (16 c. applesauce)
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 3 lb. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. ground cloves
  • 2 Tbsp. powdered cinnamon

Directions

    Cook apples until soft; press through sieve.

    Combine all ingredients in a pan.

    Put, uncovered, in a 350° oven for 3 hours, stirring every hour.

    Ladle into jars and seal.
