- 1 to 1 1/2 gal. cider or apple juice
- 20 to 25 medium-large apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/8's
- white sugar (optional)
- cinnamon (optional)
- cloves (optional)
Directions

1Boil cider or juice until reduced by 1/2.

2Add apples.

3Cook 1/2 hour or until tender.

4Put apples through food press and return to pan.

5Cook again until thickened.

6Add sugar and spices (if desired) to taste and cook until sugar is dissolved.

7Follow canning instructions from your canner to process.
