Apple-Chocolate Cake

  • 4 c. apples, peeled and chopped
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. oil
  • 2 eggs (unbeaten)
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chocolate chips

Directions

    Stir sugar into apples and let stand 15 minutes.

    Mix in oil and then eggs.
  3. 3
    Mix together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and stir into apple mixture.

    Add chocolate chips and mix (mixture will be stiff).

    Spoon into greased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 40 minutes in a 350° oven until cake tests done.

    Best served warm.
