Apple Cream Cake

- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. shredded, peeled apple
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. white sugar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
Directions

1Sift together all the dry ingredients. Stir in the apple and 1/4 cup nuts.

2Combine butter, milk and egg.

3Stir into the flour mixture and blend only.

4Pour into greased and floured 9-inch round pan. Spread sour cream over top.

5Combine sugars and spread over the sour cream. Sprinkle on remaining nuts. Bake at 400° in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve warm with butter or whipped cream.
