  • 6 to 8 large peeled and cored apples, sliced
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/4 lb. margarine

    Place cut apples in a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan or deep dish baking pan.

    Mix together the white sugar and cinnamon; pour

    over apples.

    Mix the brown sugar, flour and margarine together until mixture is crumbly; place on top of apple mixture.

    Bake in preheated 425° oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until apples are soft when pierced with a fork.

    Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
