  • 6 large apples, cored, peeled and sliced (about 8 cups)
  • 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 cup wheat and barley cereal flakes, lightly crushed

Directions

    Place apple slices in 8-inch square baking pan.

    Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon in large bowl.

    Cut butter into flour mixture until mixture resembles fine crumbs.

    Stir in cereal; sprinkle over apples.

    Bake at 375F for 30 to 35 minutes or until apples are tender.

    Serve warm.
