- 8 cups sliced peeled tart apples (about 8 medium)
- 34 cup sugar
- 12 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup quick-cooking oats
- 12 cup all-purpose flour
- 12 cup packed light brown sugar
- 14 teaspoon baking powder
- 18 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 tablespoons cold butter
Directions

1In a large bowl, toss the first four ingredients.

2Pour into a greased 8 inch square baking dish.

3In a bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder and baking soda.

4Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

5Sprinkle over apple mixture.

6Bake at 350F for 55 to 60 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden.
