  • 6 to 8 cooking apples
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 c. water (scant)
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. flour

Directions

    Peel slice and core apples.

    Put in a 7 x 10-inch baking dish. Mix water and cinnamon.

    Pour over apples.

    Work remaining ingredients together to make crumbs.

    Bake at 375° until light brown, about 1 hour.
