  • 4 to 5 medium apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 c. oats
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 cube firm butter

    Place apples in 8-inch greased pan.

    Mix the other ingredients together; will become crumbly.

    Cover apples with mixture.

    Pack. Place chunks of butter evenly on topping; sprinkle coating of granulated sugar over top.

    Bake at 425° for 45 minutes in oblong cake pan.
