  • 6 apples
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. oleo or butter
  • 1 c. flour, sifted over apples
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/8 tsp. salt, sprinkled over apples

Directions

    Peel apples and slice thinly.

    Place in cooking pan.

    Add 1/4 cup water and sugar (white).

    Sprinkle desired cinnamon and nutmeg over the apples.

    Blend brown sugar, butter, flour, water and salt until crumbly.

    Add to apples.

    Bake at 350° for about an hour.
