- 4 c. sliced, tart apples (about 4 medium)
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. oats
- 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/3 c. margarine, softened
Directions

1Heat oven to 375° and grease square pan.

2Peel apples; cover them and cut into quarters.

3Slice and put into square pan. Measure brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon and nutmeg in small mixing bowl.

4Using pastry blender, cut in margarine until mixture is crumbly.

5Do not overmix! Sprinkle over apples.

6Bake until apples are tender, about 30 minutes.

7Makes 6 servings.
