- 6 medium-size tart cooking apples, pared, cored and sliced
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 4 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Place apples in buttered 9-inch pie pan; sprinkle with sugar and lemon juice.

2Combine flour, brown sugar and nutmeg in small bowl.

3Cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture is crumbly; sprinkle over apples.

4Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until juices bubble up and topping is golden.

5Serve with ice cream.
