- 4 slices bread, cut into four pieces
- 2 small tart apples, grated
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Directions

1Beat egg yolks with sugar; add melted butter, milk, nutmeg, vanilla and apples.

2Place 1/2 bread in pan.

3Sprinkle 1/2 raisins.

4Repeat bread and raisins.

5Pour mixture over bread and bake in 350° oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

6Before completely done, beat egg whites and 1/4 cup sugar and place on top of pudding.

7Continue to bake until brown.
