Apple Dumplings

- pie dough
- 1/2 c. apples per dumpling (any flavor)
- sugar to taste (either granulated or brown)
- ground cinnamon
- nutmeg
- cloves
- 1 tsp. butter
Directions

1Peel, core and either chop or slice the apples.

2Mix the apples, sugar, spices and butter together; set aside.

3Roll out your pie dough and cut it into 4 or 5-inch squares.

4Place the fruit mixture in the center of the square and bring the 2 opposite corners together over the fruit mixture.

5Wet the tips of the pastry so that it will stick.

6Do the same with the other 2 corners.

7Do not seal all the edges or the steam will not be able to escape.

8If you do, be sure to use a fork and make steam holes.
