Apple Haroset

Ingredients

  • 2 large Granny Smith apples, quartered and cored
  • 3/4 c. walnuts (about 3 oz.)
  • 1/4 c. kosher sweet red wine (such as Manischewitz)
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Place the apples and walnuts in a food processor and pulse until fairly finely chopped.

    Transfer to a bowl and stir in red wine, honey and cinnamon.

    Serve chilled or at room temperature. Makes about 1 1/2 cups.

    The Apple Haroset can be refrigerated, covered, for up to 6 hours.
